The Seattle Public Library will teach you strategies to help turn your art into a business from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Howard S. Library events are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $7.

Explore 20 practical steps for turning your art into a part- or full-time business. You'll learn about auctions and contests, promotion, and embracing the internet as a sales and marketing platform. This workshop is for all visual artists, 2D and 3D, working in any type of medium, including watercolor, ceramics, photography and jewelry.
