Our digital media learning programs are designed as a fun way for the community to learn how to use digital media to succeed at work, school, and life in general. Through design in a collaborative space, you can learn computation, coding, electronics, and other STEM principles, and build transformative life skills such as problem solving, creativity, and collaboration. While our public programming has been on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been involved in a larger-scale program to test and share co-design programs and principles with other libraries.
VRtality.org
VRtality.org is an initiative we launched with partner libraries and the University of Washington to provide a roadmap for using virtual reality (VR) design to engage teens in supporting their mental health. It includes step-by-step guidelines and resources for planning a program, recruiting teens, selecting technology, and facilitating co-design sessions. It is funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
