About PlayBack
Local Music to Stream or Download
- To use PlayBack, just sign in from any internet-connected device using your Library card and PIN. Note: PlayBack does not support Internet Explorer. Please use a different browser to access the collection
- The collection includes a wide range of musical styles, from hip-hop and rock, to instrumental, roots and classical, and everything in between
- Anyone can stream music for free
- Library card holders can download and keep music on personal devices
Submit Your Music
Become part of Seattle’s PlayBack collection
- Local musicians, groups or singers are invited to submit their work
- The PlayBack jury chooses 40 to 50 new albums to add to our collection from each open call
- Selected artists sign a license agreement and receive $200
