"Youth Incarceration in Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander Communities" discussion at The Seattle Public Library Oct. 24

Join us for an open forum exploring the impacts of youth incarceration on the marginalized Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community, centering API youth voices, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Douglass-Truth Branch, 2300 E. Yesler Way, 206-684-4704.
Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required. Street parking is free and available near the branch.
A facilitated panel will highlight the experiences of members of Asian and Pacific Islander communities with the criminal justice system. Letters from incarcerated members of the API Cultural Awareness Group will be shared alongside the panelists' dialogue. The harmful effect of incarceration on this population will be revealed through these combined voices.
