Tax Help at the Library

The Seattle Public Library offers free tax preparation service this January through mid-April at 11 locations. A full schedule for all locations will be available later this month, check spl.org/taxhelp for updates.

Trained volunteers will answer questions and help prepare personal tax returns. The service is not available for business tax returns. See the list of required documents you'll need to bring to get tax help at spl.org/taxhelp.

The schedule below is subject to change. Please see the calendar before visiting a location. No tax help on days when the Library is closed: Monday, Jan. 20 and Feb. 17, and Tuesday, March 3.

Drop-in Tax Help - Offered on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations or appointments are accepted at these locations. The last client will be taken 30-45 minutes before the end of drop-in hours at each location:

Please bring blank IRS forms with you or print them at the Library. Most IRS forms are available online at www.irs.gov. The forms may be printed from Library computers for $.15 per page. To request forms by mail, order online at IRS.gov/orderforms or call 1-800-829-3676.
