SCHEDULE

Friday, Nov. 17: Register, pitch your idea, form teams and start work.
6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17 - Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium
 

Saturday, Nov. 18: Build your product with the help of your team and expert coaches.
9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 - Level 4, Washington Mutual Foundation Meeting Room 1.
 

Sunday, Nov. 19: Demo your product and receive feedback from judges.
3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19 - Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium 

At Startup Weekend EDU Seattle, you'll pitch your education-based startup ideas and receive feedback from judges and other participants. Teams will form around the top ideas, as determined by popular vote. Your team will spend two days designing, conducting user tests, validating your ideas and building prototypes. Your team will receive coaching from experienced education designers and industry professionals. On the last day, you'll pitch your education product or service to judges and win prizes that will help take your idea to the next level.

This is a free event, open to:

Developers - anyone who can and will write code
Educators - teachers, professors and school leaders
Designers - those with graphic design and UI/UX skills
Business innovators with marketing, public relations or non-technical business backgrounds

Professional coaches will be on hand to guide teams through the process. Library staff will support the information needs of event participants throughout the weekend, assisting the teams as they turn innovative ideas into action.
