Seattle Writes: Editing Workshop for Self-published Writers at The Seattle Public Library March 12

Publishing consultant Beth Jusino will present a workshop for authors looking to self-publish from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 12 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Washington Mutual Foundation Meeting Room 1, 206-386-4636.
The workshop is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library's parking garage for $7.
This energy-filled workshop will walk both fiction and nonfiction writers through a practical, easy-to-apply checklist of 46 things to look for, from first draft to final layout. Following the production cycle of a book, attendees will learn how to consider their work the way a professional editor would. The workshop will cover: how to spot errors from pacing problems to formatting issues, when to self-edit and when to ask for outside support.
Jusino is a publishing consultant for both traditional and self-publishing authors, with almost 20 years of experience helping writers navigate the complicated space between manuscript and final book. A former literary agent and marketing director, she's the author of the award-winning "The Author's Guide to Marketing" and has ghostwritten or collaborated on half a dozen additional titles. Jusino is a member of the Northwest Independent Editors Guild, a regular presenter for the Library's Seattle Writes workshops, and has taught at writers' conferences across the country.
