Adam Stern, music director for the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra, will present a preview lecture of the orchestra's upcoming concert featuring Edward Elgar's "Enigma Variations" from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at The Seattle Public Library, Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636 .

Library programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage at the regular rates.

The preview will feature a discussion of the Philharmonic's upcoming concert that includes Elsa Barraine's "Symphony No. 2," Erich Wolfgang Korngold's "Violin Concerto," Gustav Holst's "Capriccio," Frederick Delius' "On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring" and Elgar's "Enigma Variations."
