The Seattle Public Library Hosts Preview Lectures of Seattle Opera's 'The Magic Flute' April 9 to May 4

The Seattle Public Library will host preview lectures and performances of Seattle Opera's upcoming production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "The Magic Flute" at several locations throughout the city in April and May.
Library events and programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Free parking is available at the branches.
"The Magic Flute" is an 18th century opera by the Austrian composer and was his last to premiere before his death. The opera blends myth, magic and music to deliver the message that "love conquers all." In this tale, a handsome prince and his comical sidekick are given enchanted musical instruments and tasked with rescuing the Queen of the Night's daughter from a mysterious group of priests. Undergoing trials of virtue, discretion and charity, the duo realize that all may not be as it seems in this magical land.
