Queer Anti-Militarism Town Hall at the Seattle Public Library April 2

The Seattle Public Library will host a panel discussion centering anti-military voices from transgender and queer communities as they respond to the trans military ban from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 2 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636.
Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $6 after 5 p.m.
In this discussion, presenters will connect queer and trans freedoms to struggles with the military in its many forms, from constant war to environmental destruction. Instead of calling for the "right to serve" in the U.S. military, this discussion focuses on exploring the violence of U.S. military at home and abroad, from domestic abuse to the illegal seizure of land and resources on bases around the world.
The selected panelists speak from a broad range of organizing experiences, including challenging structural racism, fighting for migrant justice, indigenous sovereignty, prison abolition, anti-war activism and the movement against sexual violence. Panelists will include:
