Watch as winners are selected for the 2017 Summer Book Bingo reading program at the first-ever live celebration from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Washington Mutual Foundation Meeting Room 1, 206-386-4636 .

Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is requested, but not required. Refreshments will be provided.

The party will feature a live drawing of the bingo winners, as well as a place to suggest categories for next year. Attendees can mingle with fellow bingo-lovers to discuss favorite or most-challenging categories, along with favorite reads from this summer.

The Library's Summer Book Bingo reading program is now in its third year. Book Bingo offers a fun and creative way for Seattle readers to expand their reading selections by filling in themed squares on a bingo card with titles and authors of books read over the summer. Some of this year's Book Bingo squares included: Washington state author, published the year one of your parents were born, banned, by an author of color, a book you finish reading in a day, and recommended by a young person.

This event is presented in partnership with Seattle Arts & Lectures.
