The Seattle Public Library will offer open mics and poetry readings at several Library locations in February. Event details with times and locations are outlined below.

Activist Poetics
Explore how activist poetics move fluidly between digital activism, new media practices, experimental writing and performance. Confirmed participants include Alexis Pauline Gumbs, Dawn Lundy Martin, Kai Green and Layli Long Soldier.

The Poet is In
Join Claudia Castro Luna, Seattle's Civic Poet, for a series of poetic explorations about your neighborhood. Come read, talk and write poetry inspired by your corner of the city.

It's About Time Writers' Reading Series
A monthly series featuring author readings and open mics. The 328th meeting features readings from Thomas Schabarum and Mary Holscher. Marc Barrington will give a short lecture on "The Writer's Craft."
