The Seattle Public Library will host Legendary Children, an evening of representation, dance, empowerment, art and social justice that celebrates queer and transgender people of color from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at the Seattle Art Museum (SAM), 1300 1st Ave.

This event is free, although drinks and food are not, and everyone is welcome. You must have ID to drink. Facebook registration is encouraged.

Legendary Children will have live performances and DJs, alongside art by some of the Pacific Northwest's most talented queer artists. Everyone is invited to join in the conversations sparked by SAM's special exhibition "Figuring History: Robert Colescott, Kerry James Marshall, Mickalene Thomas," which will be open and free during this event. Curated highlights from the Library's collection will also be available for check out.
