The Seattle Public Library will offer two levels of Chinese for Beginners as a 10-week course for adult language learners from April through June at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Boeing Technology Training Center, Room 4, 206-684-0849.

CLASS SCHEDULE

Chinese for Beginners, Level 3 – You'll learn grammar and vocabulary and develop listening, speaking and reading skills while you gain familiarity with Chinese culture. By the end of the course, students will be able to master about 150 words and communicate in daily life situations.

Intermediate Chinese, Level 1 - You'll learn grammar and vocabulary; develop listening, speaking and reading skills; and begin to learn basic writing skills. By the end of the course, students will be able to master about 400 words and communicate fluently in daily life situations.

These classes are presented in partnership with the Confucius Institute of the State of Washington.
