Enjoy free concerts by local artists! The Seattle Public Library will host musical performances by the Ladies Musical Club at two locations in December.

3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 at the West Seattle Branch, 2306 42nd Ave. S.W., 206-684-7444. This month's concert will feature composer Robert Schumann's "Frauenliebe und leben" and piano tributes to Shumann written by Enrique Granados and Ernő Dohnányi. Performers will include Lin Chen, soprano, Nicole Truesdell, piano and Karin McCullough, piano.

Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636. This month's concert will feature songs by Rachmaninoff and Glinka, and piano works by Tchaikovsky and Chopin. Performers will include Amber Rose Johnson, soprano, Christy Robinson, piano and Valentina Rodov, piano.

The Ladies Musical Club is an organization of women with the mission to foster classical music in the community through education, performance and awards.

Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Free parking is available near the West Seattle Branch. Parking is available in the Central Library garage at the regular rates.
