The Seattle Public Library will host musical performances by the Ladies Musical Club at two locations in February. Dates, times and locations are outlined below.

  • Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636. This month's concert will feature piano works by Piazzolla and Chopin and "Trio for piano, violin and cello" by Josef Bohuslaw Foerster.

  • 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 the West Seattle Branch, 2306 42nd Ave. S.W., 206-684-7444. This month's concert will feature arias and scenes from Italian and German operas (1780-1840). Performances will be given by sopranos Katie Hochman, Heather Mullin, Breanna Hanson, Ki-Jung Jun and Lori Williams, with Maria Khavin on piano.

The Ladies Musical Club is an organization of women with the mission to foster classical music in the community through education, performance and awards.

Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Free parking is available near the West Seattle Branch. Parkingis available in the Central Library garage at the regular rates.
