Join Chief Librarian Tom Fay Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the Lake City Branch to Discuss Current and Future Library Services

Tom Fay, The Seattle Public Library’s newest chief librarian, will hold a Community Conversation on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 4 p.m. cato 5 p.m. at the Lake City Branch (12501 25th Ave. N.E.).
This is the fourth and final in a series of 2022 Community Conversations, which have been held at Library locations in neighborhoods across Seattle this year. The Library plans to hold another series of Community Conversations in 2023. These events give patrons the chance to speak directly to the chief librarian about their experiences using the Library and about how the Library can better serve them now and in the years to come.
“Please join me at our Lake City Branch, a true community hub, to hear what’s new at the Library, and share your feedback about our services,” said Fay. “It’s an opportunity for us to come together, take stock of what’s changed in our communities over the course of the pandemic, and plan for our future.”
Light refreshments, including coffee, tea and pastries, will be served. The Community Conversation will be held around the same time as the Lake City Branch’s Tuesday Homework Help session, the Library’s free afterschool tutoring program that’s recently restarted at six branches.
Patrons who would prefer to provide feedback online to the Library about current and future services are encouraged to share their thoughts on the Community Conversations page. Feedback will be used to inform the Library’s strategic planning process.
The dates and times for future Community Conversations will be added to www.spl.org/Conversations when finalized.
