Together with the UW School of Law Entrepreneurial Law Clinic and pro bono attorneys, The Seattle Public Library will be hosting two free legal consultation sessions for small businesses and non-profits in August. The session on Aug. 12 is focused on corporate law, and the session on Aug. 26 is focused on intellectual property law.

Registration is required. Sign up for your 30-minute session by contacting the Library to Business team using this form or emailing L2B@spl.org. Language support available upon request in Chinese, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese.

Make sure to include your name, email, phone number, and a brief summary of your legal question. We will write back to you with available consultation times, help you register you for a time that works for you, and send you the connection details.

  • Corporate Law - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12. Get help navigating contract or corporate law issues. If you have any questions related to incorporation, equity allocation or contract issues, please sign up for a 30 minute consult.
  • Intellectual Property Law - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26. Get help navigating intellectual property issues, such as patents or trademarks. If you have any questions related to patents, trademarks, copyrights or trade secrets, please sign up for a 30 minute consult.
