The Seattle Public Library will host programs at several farmers markets and events throughout the city in August. The programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

Children's Story Time - Bring your children to enjoy stories, rhymes, songs and fun.

Bookmobile - Visit the bookmobile, where you can get a Library card, check out books and movies, and do fun activities.

Vocalist Jessica Clipper - Join Lake City Future First and the Lake City Branch for a performance of teen sensation Jessica Clipper.

SLU block party – The Library's Books on Bikes team will be at the South Lake Union Block Party as a full-service library.

Books and Button Making – Library staff will have button crafts, cookbooks to check out, and information about the Library's Summer of Learning activities.

Learn How to Make Kimchi – Seattle Tilth certified instructor Ellie Cohan will demonstrate how to make kimchi. Kimchi is a Korean side dish made of spicy and fermented vegetables.

ASL Story Time - Bring your toddlers and preschoolers to enjoy stories, rhymes, songs and fun with our American Sign Language (ASL) storyteller.

Cook Local Vegetables - Local author Kim O'Donnel demonstrates a recipe from her cookbook, "PNW Veg: 100 Vegetable Recipes Inspired by the Local Bounty of the Pacific Northwest."
