Learn the basics of filmmaking and make your own short film from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, June 5 through July 3 at the Beacon Hill Branch, 2821 Beacon Ave. S., 206-684-4711.

Reel Grrls, a local media arts center, will show teens ages 13-18 how to create short, 60-second videos using found-object art (things that are made or found in your community). You'll tell a story around those objects, giving them the representation they deserve.
