A community-led Native American drumming circle and workshop will be facilitated by Chookensha Patricia Allen from 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Monday, June 5 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Howard S. Wright Family & Janet W. Ketcham Meeting Room 2, 206-386-4636 .

Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $6 after 5 p.m.

Attendees are invited to bring their own handheld percussion instruments, if available.

Participants in this circle and workshop will be welcomed to perform in concert with Philadelphia poet, Sha'Ifa Mami Watu in her workshop-to-performance production "Rough Ground" on Friday, June 9 at 7 p.m. in Seattle's historic Washington Hall.
