The Seattle Public Library offers drop-in help at three Library locations for people who are experiencing homelessness or living on low incomes.

Community Resource Specialist Drop-In Hours: Are you looking for housing, shelter, or other resources? Stop by during drop-in hours to get personalized assistance in finding shelter, getting an ID, food and meals, health care, and other community resources.

Drop-In for Neighborcare Health Services: 10 a.m. to noon Fridays, May 3 & 17

Compassionate, confidential, and quality healthcare is available at no cost to those in our community experiencing homelessness or unstable housing. Services provided include:

  • primary medical care
  • counseling
  • help with drug/alcohol issues
  • STD testing
  • vaccinations
  • foot and wound care
  • blood work
  • insurance assistance
  • suboxone

Enhanced Outreach to Veterans of Color: 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, May 7 & 21

A veteran outreach specialist will connect veterans to agencies, the VA system and other veteran supportive services. Services provided include:

  • VA pension & disability compensation
  • military sexual trauma counseling
  • crisis & PTSO advocacy
  • vocational rehabilitation
  • VA home loan resources
  • LGBTQ benefits
  • mental health resources
  • survivors & dependents benefits
  • housing assistance
  • employment/job readiness

Drop-in for Veteran Services: 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, May 14 & 28

A veteran specialist will connect people who have been in the military and are experiencing homelessness, or living on very low incomes, with services to help them find housing. Services provided include:

  • rapid access to housing
  • counseling
  • financial planning
  • access to transportation
  • access to income resources
  • help with expenses
  • help with legal issues
  • access to medical care

These events are presented in partnership with Neighborcare Health Ballard Homeless Clinic, Supportive Services for Veteran Families, El Centro de la Raza’s Veterans Program and Downtown Emergency Service Center.
