Starting on Wednesday, Oct. 14, The Seattle Public Library’s Curbside Pickup Service will expand to include the Greenwood Branch, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N., and Northeast Branch, 6801 35th Ave. N.E.

Both branches will offer Curbside Pickup for holds from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Only walkup service is available at these branches, which means that patrons who pick up their holds from these locations will not need to schedule appointments.

Seven other Curbside locations will continue to offer patrons the option of picking up their holds from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Patrons can schedule pickup appointments at these locations by app or by phone, or drop by for walkup service.

See spl.org/Curbside for information on how Curbside Service works and hours of service for Curbside locations.

The Library is also offering a selection of Peak Picks titles – high-demand books that are avilble without holds or waits – at each Curbside location until supplies last each day.

RETURN YOUR BOOKS!

Starting on Wednesday, Oct. 14, materials can be returned at all Curbside locations, as well as at four other locations, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Find information about book returns and all Library services at spl.org/RoadtoReopening. Please contact us at 206-386-4190 if you would like to request an ADA accommodation for pickups or returns.

MORE INFORMATION ON REOPENING PLANS

On Oct. 6, Gov. Jay Inslee announced that public libraries may allow some indoor service at 25 percent capacity in Phase 2 of his Safe Start reopening plan. The Seattle Public Library is assessing the new reopening requirements with current planning efforts to expand services. The safety of our patrons and staff is our top priority. More details will be announced soon at the Library’s Road to Reopening page.

The Seattle Public Library also has many free online services, resources and programs available while its physical buildings remain closed. You can find out more here or by contacting the Library by phone at 206-386-4636. Staff are ready to answer questions and direct you to helpful resources and information during this challenging time.
