Chamber Music Concert at The Seattle Public Library May 14

Join The Seattle Public Library for a chamber music concert featuring violinist Andrew Bushnell and pianist Jason Kuo from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 14 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636 .
Library programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $7.
The duo will perform Jean Sibelius's "Violin Concerto," which music critic Donald Francis Tovey once dubbed as "A Polonaise for Polar Bears."
Performer Biographies
Bushnell studied with Lee Joiner at the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in Illinois and later received a master's degree in violin performance from Cal State Sacramento, studying under Ian Swensen. His private teachers in the Seattle area have included Patricia Jaeger and Richard Skerlong of the Seattle Symphony. Andrew has taught at a university in the city of Zhengzhou in China.
Kuo studied with Martha Wasley at the University of California at Berkeley and was later coached by Janet Guggenheim, whose worldwide concert credits included over 30 years of collaboration with the celebrated violinist Itzhak Perlman. Kuo also performs regularly with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra and the Octava Chamber Orchestra. He maintains teaching studios in Seattle, Bellevue and Issaquah and lives in Seattle's Matthews Beach neighborhood.
