Enjoy a community celebration of the festival of Diwali, celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs Jains and some Buddhists around the world from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Lake City Community Center, 12531 28th Ave. N.E.

Library events and programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

The celebration will include crafts, stories, traditional foods and activities for all ages. Traditional dress is encouraged! The program is a cultural celebration and open to all who want to learn about or celebrate this holiday with their local community.

Everyone is invited to bring food for the potluck! If you would like to help with planning, henna, decorations, rangoli, food or more, please contact Nancy at nancy.pew@spl.org.
