Camille Paglia Discusses 'Free Women, Free Men: Sex, Gender, Feminism' at The Seattle Public Library March 20

Best-selling author Camille Paglia will talk about her new collection of essays that celebrates and challenges modern feminism from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 20 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636 .
Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking in the Central Library garage will be available for $6 after 5 p.m.
When Paglia first burst onto the scene with her "Sexual Personae," she established herself as a smart, fearless and often dissenting voice among feminists. Now, for the first time, her best essays on the subject are gathered together in one concise volume. Whether she's declaring Madonna the future of feminism, asking if men are obsolete, calling for equal opportunity for American women years before the founding of the National Organization for Women (NOW) or urging all women to love football, Paglia can always be counted on to get a discussion started.
Paglia is a professor of humanities and media studies at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. A regular contributor to Salon.com, she is also the author of "Glittering Images," "Break, Blow, Burn," "Sex, Art, and American Culture" and "Vamps & Tramps."
