Join The Seattle Public Library for an afternoon of drawing practice and drinks from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 25 at Populuxe Brewing, 826B NW 49th St.

Library events are free and open to the public; drinks are available for purchase. Registration is not required. Artists of every skill level are encouraged to attend, and should bring their own supplies for drawing.

Local artist Tatiana Gill will lead attendees through a series of exercises that take a body-positive approach to figure drawing and representation. Attendees will be drawing live, clothed models, including local model Curvy Curly Chelsie.

Gill is a Seattle-based cartoonist who uses her art to show strength and vulnerability, reflecting the diversity of women so often underrepresented in the media. Her art contains themes such as body positivity, feminism, mental health and recovery.  Gill has created dozens of self-published comic books, teaches comics and contributes to local and global publications.
