The Seattle Public Library will feature writers and their work at several locations throughout Seattle in December.

Join us for a panel discussion with HistoryLink historians and city archivists about the stories they found in the Seattle Municipal Archives and what they tell us about the life of the city. The new book "Seattle at 150: Stories of the City through 150 Objects from the Seattle Municipal Archives" illustrates over a century and a half of the city's history through images and stories told through 150 objects and photographs from the Seattle Municipal Archives. Her family was saved by Hans Calmeyer, who was able to save over 3700 Jews from deportation. In her book "Shedding Our Stars: The Story of Hans Calmeyer and How He Saved Thousands of Families Like Mine," Nussbaum tells Calmeyer’s story and what drove him to save so many.
